KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Avila baseball opened the home portion of its KCAC schedule with a 28-4 loss to Kansas Wesleyan on Thursday.
The Coyotes hit eight home runs in the contest and had eight different players record at least one RBI.
With two unlucky errors, Avila's starting pitcher, Cashen Schranz, allowed nine runs – just three of which were earned.
The Eagles offense came from three solo homers from Tommy English, Caden Stillwell and Joey Reichmuth. Sandwiched between was a sac fly from English.
The two programs are back at it on Wednesday, with a doubleheader from The Z beginning at 11 AM.
