ELI WILLIAMS NAMED BISSELL DIVISION OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR; FIVE EAGLES MAKE ALL-DIVISION FIRST TEAM
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Avila Eagles football program ended the 2024 season on a three-game winning streak and QB Eli Williams was a big part of that season-ending winning streak. For his efforts, Williams was named the KCAC Bissell Division Offensive Player of the Year, the conference announced today.
Williams led the division with 177.8 passing yards per game with eight touchdowns and also added 409 yards on the ground and three rushing touchdowns. The 409 rushing yards led all quarterbacks in the Bissell Division.
As the division’s Offensive Player of the Year, Williams was selected as the All-Division First Team Quarterback. He was joined on the first team by TE Kareem Chambers, OL Jayden Ramos, DL Antonio Moore and LB Jay Wright.
Chambers finished his season with 47 receptions for 516 yards and three touchdowns. Chambers’ 516 yards were the fourth-highest total in the division.
Ramos was a key member of the Eagles offensive line blocked for an offense that averaged 275.3 yards per game – 1,442 on the ground and 1,492 through the air.
Moore led Avila with 5.5 sacks, finished third with 54 total tackles and added seven tackles for loss.
Wright led the Eagles in total tackles (86) by a large margin, had three forced fumbles and two interceptions this season as well as a pick-six. Wright’s three forced fumbles in 2024 led the Bissel Division.
On the second team, the Eagles were well-represented: WR Jalen Thach, DL Ishe Smith Jr., ST UTL Kareem Chambers, K Juan Delgado-Medina, P Tristen Hood and PR John Dailey.

Avila finished the season 4-7 and 3-2 in the KCAC. The Eagles won tehir final three games of the season to match last season’s win total.
