BOWLING COMPETES AT HOOSIER CLASSIC

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Traveling their longest distance for a competition this season, Avila bowling wrapped up the Hoosier Classic over the weekend.

One of the largest bowling tournaments in college athletics, the 2025 Hoosier Classic was the 56th edition of the event.

Bowling against programs from all over the country – and from all levels of collegiate bowling – the Eagle men and women put up strong showings in the more-than-70-team-event.

The men's team finished No. 42 with a score of 7,553. The Eagles finished ahead of KCAC-rival Ottawa as well as two spots ahead of Division-I Indiana.

On the women's side, the Eagles wrapped up the weekend placing 35th with a 7,221 score. Like the men, the Avila women finished ahead of another local rival, Baker.

The two programs will next compete at the KCAC Championships on Saturday in Sioux City, Iowa.
