BOWLING CONTINUES GROWTH AT MCKENDREE MATCH GAMES
BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Competing in their final events prior to a brief Thanksgiving break, Avila bowling had numerous positives at this weekend's McKendree Match Games on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, the Avila men were led by Davis Best, who averaged a score of 219.8, good for No. 11 individually. The Eagles also had strong performances from Ta'Shawn Clark (179.75) and Brody Stanback (175.67).
On the women's side on Saturday, Kiara Gonzalez led the way with a five-game average of 177, followed by Gabrielle Gallaher's 165.4.
Wrapping up the tournament on Sunday was comprised of 16 Baker games. The women ended their weekend No. 11 with a combined total of 6,854 and the men went home at No. 16 with a score of 4,703.
Both programs will be back in action on Dec. 6 and 7 at the Cougar Open in Columbia, Mo.
