M. Golf: Gurley shoots 76 on Tuesday
Boonville, MO - Jackson Gurley followed up a rough first round with a 76 in Tuesday's final round at the CMU Eagle Open, eight strokes better than his first round score.
Gurley jumped up eight spots in the final standings with his 76 on Tuesday, making one of the biggest jumps of all of the golfers in the tournament.
John Schwarzel also improved by six shots in the second round, shooting an 84 for the Eagles.
Taylor Livingston earned the best finish for the men's team at the CMU Eagle Open, finishing with a 159, six strokes outside of the Top 20.
Avila will get a nice break before they host the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship on May 9th and 10th at Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, Mo.
The conference championship will be a 54-hole tournament, so the extra time off will give the Eagles plenty of time to prepare for what will be a taxing couple of days on the course.
