SEWARD, Neb. – In their 2024-25 season opener, Avila men's soccer came up short, losing 5-0 to Concordia University.

Concordia opened the scoring in the 14^th minute and added another 15 minutes later to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Avila surrendered two goals early in the second half while Concordia added an insurance goal with just over 10 minutes remaining to seal the 5-0 scoreline and send the Eagles back to Kansas City.

The Eagles recorded four shots in the contest and senior goalkeeper Naguib Nassir saved five shots on the afternoon before being replaced by junior Johnathan Fager with just over five minutes remaining in the game.
