ATCHISON, Kan. – Avila men's soccer left its Labor Day matchup with Benedictine with its second loss of the season as they couldn't find the score line in the 2-0 loss.

Getting his first start of the season after coming on as a substitute in the opener last week, goalkeeper Harrison Ennis stopped seven of nine Raven shots.

The Eagles struggled on the offensive end early, only recording one shot in the first half.

Benedictine's first goal of the game came less than three minutes before halftime and that is all the offense the Ravens would need. Avila's former conference foe added an insurance goal in the 70^th minute to finalize what would end up a 2-0 Benedictine victory.

Malcolm Goswell and Sam Kanda led Avila on the attacking end with two shots each.

Avila looks to pick up its first win of the season in the team's home opener on Wednesday at 1:30 PM at The Z as they take on Kansas City metro-area rivals Park University.
