SALINA, Kan. – Three goals scored in each half by Kansas Wesleyan was too much to overcome as the Coyotes beat Avila men's soccer on Saturday, 6-1.
KWU got on the scoreboard twice in the first eight minutes of the contest before Avila's leading goal scorer, Vincent Escott, scored his third goal of the season in the 19th minute.
The Coyotes answered back 90 seconds later with their third goal of the first half.
Kansas Wesleyan added three more goals in the second half to finalize the 6-1 scoreline.
Avila heads to Ottawa on Wednesday for a 7:30 kickoff before returning home as they look to win consecutive games at The Z, facing Bethany on October 19 at 2:30 PM
