SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Avila men's soccer was unable to extend its winning streak to three games in Wednesday, losing to Evangel, 3-0.
The Valor controlled possession for most of the game and outshot the Eagles, 21-10.
Evangel picked up a goal in the 22nd minute and entered halftime with a 1-0 lead.
Avila was unable to get much offense going in the second half, with Evangel putting up a pair of goals in the final 15 minutes to wrap up the 3-0 score line.
The Eagles are back at The Z for a pair of home conference games on Saturday (York, 3:30 PM) and Wednesday (Ottawa, 3:30 PM).
