BOWLING BACK ON THE LANES AT CEDAR VALLEY INVITE
WATERLOO, Iowa – Thanks to winter weather in the Midwest, Avila bowling had a late addition to their schedule as the two programs competed in the Cedar Valley Invite on Saturday and Sunday in central Iowa.
The Eagle women went 3-3 on Sunday, with 4,937 total pins, finishing seventh overall.
Freshman Fiona West was the leader for the women, finishing No. 10 among nearly 150 competitors with a 205 average. West was joined by Beka Fielder, who finished No. 25 with a 194.7 average.
The Eagle men were very competitive on Saturday, finishing seventh in total pins (2,932), which helps the program's postseason aspirations.
Davis Best (229.7) and Ta'Shawn Clark (209.5) led the Eagles in average.
Both squads will head to Lawrence, Kan., on Saturday and Sunday for the two-day NAIA West Regional.
