W. Golf Preview: Heart Championship

Oskaloosa, IA - The Avila women's golf team will compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships on Monday and Tuesday in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

The 36-hole Championship will take place at Edmundson Golf Course in Oskaloosa, Iowa. LIVE SCORING | VIDEO Live video will be available for the tournament, with three cameras showing viewers a live look at the first tee, the ninth green and the eighteenth green. Live scoring of both rounds will also be available, all courtesy of host William Penn University.

The Edmundson Golf Course is an 18-hole public course that opened in 1940 and will be laid out as a par-71 covering 5,844 yards. Designed by Ward Smith, Edmundson GC is known for its mature, tree-lined fairways, challenging greens, and a creek that runs through the course and comes into play on numerous holes.

Both the team and individual champions will earn an automatic spot in the 2017 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship, May 23-26 at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

The official start time for the tournament is 10 a.m.

Avila will be represented by Abby Clark, Kailey Fraher, Grace Miller, Lexi Clary and Corey Cochran.
