WOMEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO NO. 7 JOHN BROWN

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Getting a big early-season test against a top-10 opponent, Avila women's soccer fell on Friday evening to No. 7 John Brown, 11-0.

John Brown put up 44 total shots in the match, while scoring early and often. The Golden Eagles tallied five goals in the first half and added six more in the second.

Avila was led by Nikki Wood and Joselyn Clark, who each registered a shot on goal.

In her collegiate debut, goalkeeper Jocelyn Zettergren came on in goal as a substitute and picked up seven saves in 45 minutes of action.

Avila will look to get back in the win column on Wednesday back in Kansas City, traveling to Park to face the Pirates at 3 PM.
