TENNIS NEARS END OF SEASON WITH LOSSES TO MCPHERSON

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In the final few weeks of the inaugural season for Avila tennis, both the men and women's squads lost 7-0 to McPherson on Thursday at the Plaza Tennis Center.

On the men's side of the scoresheet, Robert Davies had the most productive day for Avila, joining Drue Coen in his doubles match and losing a close 6-3 competition. In his #4 singles match, Davies played tough, losing 6-2, 6-1.

For the Avila women, the consistent #1 doubles team of Kylee Bragaw and Danielle Jean-Louis narrowly lost, 6-2.

Jean-Louis would go on to face tough competition in the #1 singles match, falling 6-1, 6-2. Additionally, Tia Wilsher fell in #3 singles 6-2, 6-1 and Alaeyah Chleborad lost in #5 singles, 6-2, 6-1.

The Eagles are back in action on April 17 versus Sterling at Minor Park at 2 PM before wrapping up their season on April 19 against Saint Mary at the Plaza Tennis Center.
