TENNIS OPENS SPRING SEASON WITH LOSSES AT JOHN BROWN

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Hitting the courts for the first time in 2026, the Avila tennis programs faced a tough road test at John Brown. The Eagle women fell 7-0 and the men lost 5-2.

On the men's side, Axel Scott picked up a 7-6, 6-1 victory in #1 singles. The doubles teams of Will Day and Caige Bjornstad (6-0) and Dominic Lunn and Aiden Vandergrift (6-1) earned victories.

The women's program was highlighted by a #1 doubles win from Kylee Bragaw and Dani Jean-Louise, 7-6.

Avila has two weeks off before traveling to Lawrence, Kan., to face Baker and Mount Marty on Feb. 21, beginning at 4 PM.
