T&F: Women Remain Top 25
Women's Track and Field Team Ranked No. 24 in USFCCCA NAIA Polls
NEW ORLEANS –The Avila women's track and field team are ranked No. 24 in U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NAIA National Rating Index for the 2nd straight week. The Lady Eagles are ranked in the top 25 for the first time in school history this season and Coach Smith is very pleased about where his team is as at this point.
"We are very excited about reaching the top 25 in the polls this season," stated Coach Smith. "It is something we talked about at the end of last season coming into this season but we still have more work to do."
Coach Smith and his squad are back in action today at the Wichita State Invitational. Field events begin at 9am, running events at 12:30pm.
