WOMEN’S WRESTLING LOSES CONFERENCE DUAL TO ST. MARY
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Hitting the mat for the first time in three weeks, Avila women's wrestling fell 27-21 in a dual with St. Mary on Thursday at Mabee Fieldhouse.
With multiple athletes competing up in weight classes on Thursday, the Eagles were unable to pick up as many points as they would have liked.
There were four total opens in the dual between the two KCAC rivals.
Avila's Amitria McNack was the bright spot for Avila in the first bout of 2026, picking up the lone Eagle win on the evening, with a fall in the first round.
The Eagles are back in action on Sunday, traveling to Baker for a dual with the Wildcats beginning at 1 PM from Baldwin City, Kan.
