WOMEN’S WRESTLING COMPETES VERSUS NO. 19 BAKER
BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Avila women's wrestling had a tough test on Sunday, taking on No. 19 Baker in a dual, falling 33-10.
Facing mid-seasons injuries and illnesses, Avila gave up 15 points in three open spots, but picked up a pair of victories against a top-20 opponent.
In the 103-pound class, Kylee Whalan won via fall in just 1:06 to get the dual started off on the right foot.
Wrapping up the afternoon was Haley Ward in the 207-pound class, winning via 7-0 decision.

Avila travels to Liberty on Friday evening for a dual with William Jewell at 6 PM.
