WOMEN’S WRESTLING BATTLES TOUGH AT WILLIAM JEWELL

LIBERTY, Mo. – Facing some of its toughest competition of the season, Avila women's wrestling got some experience in a dual at William Jewell on Friday night, losing 37-10.

One of Avila's best wrestlers this season, Amitria McNack, notched a big win for the Eagles in the 160-pound class, winning via fall over Paige Barber in 1:07.

The other Eagle points from Friday came from Suzette Mendez who picked up five points in an open in the 110-pound class.

Avila has a busy weekend ahead, heading to Oskaloosa, Iowa on Sunday for the William Penn Open.
