Bio

Darien Minor will be entering his 4th season as a Coach.
 
Darien will be entering his 8th season with Avila Athletics. He was a part of the Avila Track and Field program from 2016-2020, earning All-Conference Honors in the High Jump. Minor also participated in three years of Basketball over four years from 2016-2020. After his playing years and earning his bachelor's degree, Darien transitioned to coaching as a graduate assistant for the Eagles.
 
After serving as an assistant coach the following three years, last year Minor also had the opportunity to head coach Avila's JV team. Minor led the Eagles to a 10-10 record in the JV programs inaugural season.
 
Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Minor attended Lusher Charter School. In high school he competed in both Track and Field, and Basketball as well. He earned multiple All-Conference honors in both sports, as well as being a Louisiana indoor state track meet team runner-up.
 
Minor earned a Bachelor's in Marketing with a minor in Advertising and PR. He is currently pursuing an MBA in Management with an emphasis on Project Management.
