MEN’S TENNIS GROWS IN LOSS TO OTTAWA
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Playing at the Plaza Tennis Center for the first time in 2026, Avila tennis saw the men fall, 5-2, as the women won 7-0 via forfeit from Ottawa.
Playing on a chilly day on the Country Club Plaza, Avila got a 6-0 #3 doubles win from Ben Drinkwater and Brendan Honn.
On the singles side, Axel Scott won via medical retire in #1 singles after a 4-6, 4-3 match.
Continuing his positive play from the doubles side to #6 singles, Ben Drinkwater won 0-6, 6-1, 7(2)-6.
Due to low roster numbers for the Braves, the Eagles women notched a 7-0 win via forfeit on Monday.
Both programs have more than a week off before traveling to Oklahoma Wesleyan on April 1 for another KCAC matchup beginning at 1 PM.
